What is NDIS?

NDIS is the short for National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is an effective national system to provide funding and supports to people with permanent and significant disabilities, all across Australia. The NDIS support is usually provided for a lifetime to individuals who are eligible.

What is NDIA?

NDIA is the short for National Disability Insurance Agency. This is the government agency responsible for managing the NDIS to ensure that people with disability continue to receive the support they need.

Am I eligible?

Our goal each day is to ensure that our residents’ needs are not only met.

1) Are you between the age of 7 and 65? For below 7, refer to Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) For above 65, refer to NDIS and Aged Care
2) Do you live in Australia and have Australian residency? To avail NDIS support, you have to be living in Australia as a citizen, Permanent Resident (PR) visa holder or a Protected special category visa holder
3) Do you have a permanent and significant disability?
4) Do you use special equipment due to your disability?

Note: These questions are just a guide. The final decision about eligibility is up to the NDIA.

How do I apply?

Please download and fill out the forms.

  • NDIA Access Form.

What can you expect from us?

Every person living with a disability is different and hence the different needs. If you are eligible, you will be a ‘NDIS Participant’ receiving ‘NDIS Funding’ on an annual basis to avail ‘NDIS approved services and equipment.

You can expect us to work with you to create a custom plan to fulfill your goals in a short and medium to a long term period of time. Our services will be tailor made to cater to your specific needs and goals.

What supports are not funded by NDIS?

The NDIS cannot fund a support that is:

  • the responsibility of another government system or community service
  • not related to a person’s disability
  • relates to day-to-day living costs that are not related to a participant's support needs
  • is likely to cause harm to the participant or pose a risk to others.
